Whether you have a factory with heavy plant & machinery, a commercial production facility, commercial kitchen, auto-shop or any other kind of production facility, one thing is certain. Getting your floor surface right is a major undertaking that requires costly downtime to complete. For many of our customers, the cost of the downtime in lost productivity may be higher than the actual job itself.
You need the job done efficiently, cost effectively and to a high-quality standard. The last thing you want is unexpected downtime to fix quality issues or have to repeat the exercise sooner than expected due to a poor-quality job or wrong choice of surfacing.
That’s why Granicrete is the right choice of flooring provider. We take the time to understand the exact needs of the job, and deliver a layered floor fit for purpose for the long haul. For that reason, we confidently guarantee all our jobs for 7-years, which is the highest in the industry. We never leave a job until the floor is ‘showroom’ standard, which means that no matter what your space is used for, you’ll get that smile of satisfaction when you walk in.
Whilst getting a polished concrete floor may sound sexy, generally we don’t recommend it for production areas for several reasons. Firstly, bringing a concrete slab up to a quality surface is a time-consuming exercise that requires multiple rounds of grinding, polishing, filling and sealing. Particularly for existing factory spaces, the concrete may be damaged with stains, gouges and cracks that never look perfect after the concrete has been polished.
In almost all cases we recommend a single tone Epoxy or Urethane Cement finish. Exactly how this is layered, sealed & finished depends on your needs and the usage of the space. An area with stationary heavy machinery and high foot traffic has different needs to area with vehicular traffic like an auto-shop. This is different again to a commercial kitchen, food preparation facility or chemical lab.
To find out which option is best for you, check out the overviews below and click through to each finish type to find out more. We also recommend you call us today to discuss your project and let us help you short-circuit your research for the best possible outcome.
This is by far the most cost-effective solution for most production facilities, both in terms of project cost as well as limiting your downtime. We don’t simply deliver a 2-coat epoxy floor (which is the industry standard), we take the time to understand the needs of your space, and design the appropriate layering and surfacing required.
You can choose any colour for your job, including matching brand colours, and we can also stencil in your brand logo or slogan.
Highly durable, cost effective and with outstanding aesthetics, single tone epoxy is the ideal all-round solution for most commercial and light industrial spaces.
When you need the ultimate heavy-duty flooring you simply have to use Urethane Cement. We mix complex polymers with traditional cement mix to create a thick flooring surface that is harder than concrete. If your space serves in a heavy industrial capacity prone to heavy impacts or frequent traffic from heavy vehicles, this is the right choice for you. Similarly, its perfect for food processing facilities and anywhere exposed to harsh bleaches and cleaning chemicals.
