Granicrete Coverstone Walls

Faux finishes are becoming very popular as an alternative to standard paint finishes and are designed to replicate the visual appearance of natural materials such as stone & wood.

Granicrete has evolved our Coverstone finish so that it can now be applied to walls as well as your floor. The result can be a look that is unparalleled in its sophistication, and appear as a natural extension of your floor.

Other faux finishes available from the Granicrete team include faux venetian plaster, faux marble and graining (which is designed to look like a hardwood finish).

Why Choose a Faux Finish for your Walls?

If you’re looking for a space that really stands out and complements your new floor, a faux finish is the perfect way to augment your room. When applied carefully it can make the floor look much bigger, increasing the sense of space.

Aside from the looks, using a Granicrete Coverstone finish can be a fantastic choice for areas prone to moisture. Apart from the absence of grouted joints, the surface is completely smooth leaving less opportunity for the growth of mould and other microbes, making it much easier to clean and maintain. Gone are the annoying house spent scrubbing with anti-mould chemicals!

Frequently Asked Questions About Faux Finishes

Faux finishes are synthetic materials designed to look like wood, stone or marble. They are generally much cheaper and faster to use than the actual raw material. They are also typically more durable and easier to clean, making them a great choice.

A faux finish such as Granicrete Flowstone can be applied to a gyprock wall so long as the gyprock and underlying framing is solid and in good condition. If there is movement in the wall, faux finishes cannot be applied.
