Epoxy flooring is the perfect all-round solution for most commercial spaces. Installed as a thin layer only 3-6mm thick over your existing slab, it’s an extremely cost-effective solution that requires minimal down time to install.
Epoxy resin cures to a much harder finish than polyurethane paint or polished concrete, giving it superior durability and stain-resistance. The resin is mixed on-site, and can be made to match any colour. The resulting surface can be finished to a high-gloss or textured & slip resistant finish. It’s an easy to clean & ultra-low maintenance solution for commercial and light industrial areas, including mechanic shops, food courts, communal office areas and storage facilities.
Why Choose Commercial Epoxy rather than Urethane Cement?
The short answer is that it’s cheaper and more aesthetically pleasing than Urethane Cement. If you want something that looks great, but don’t need the unbeatable impact resistance of urethane cement, a single tone epoxy is definitely the way to go, and suitable for most commercial purposes. Alternatively, if you want a really glamourous looking floor for more customer-facing areas, check out our Granicrete Coverstone and Metallic Epoxy solutions.

Epoxy is actually not as slippery as it looks from the shiny surface, and much less slippery than polished concrete. If your floor is prone to getting wet, talk to use about adding a non-slip coating or textured finish.
Epoxy flooring is suitable for most commercial needs, but can be prone to cracking or chipping under heavy impact or if sharp, pointed objects such as knives are dropped on it. If your space is prone to these types of situations, we’d recommend using a Urethane Cement floor instead.
No. Epoxy forms an impermeable barrier between the surface and the underlying concrete, which means that once fully cured it will not stain from oil, dyes, colourings or other liquids such as wine.
